The details

Privacy policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

I'm Brian, and I operate Dioteck through Dioteck LLC. This policy explains how I handle information collected through this website and during initial project conversations. Project-specific data arrangements are addressed in the relevant client agreement.

Information I collect

When you send a project inquiry, I collect your name, email address, organization if provided, project focus, and project description. I also store basic request information, including browser type and the referring page, to help operate the inquiry service and identify misuse. Hosting providers may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, in their operational and security logs.

Please avoid including passwords, access keys, or confidential personal or business information in the inquiry form. If your project needs sensitive information, I can discuss an appropriate way to share it.

How I use your information

  • To respond to your inquiry and understand what you want to build or improve.
  • To discuss project fit, requirements, and next steps.
  • To maintain the website, troubleshoot issues, and prevent misuse.
  • To meet applicable recordkeeping and legal obligations.

I do not sell your personal information or add you to a marketing mailing list when you submit an inquiry.

Service providers

I use Supabase to store project inquiries and Resend to deliver inquiry notifications. My website hosting provider also processes requests to serve the site. These providers receive information needed to operate their services and may process it in countries other than your own.

The illustrative AI examples on this website do not send your information to an AI model. I do not use the inquiry form to submit your project details to an AI service.

Cookies and browser storage

This website does not use advertising cookies or analytics tracking scripts. The inquiry form keeps your entries in the current page while you complete it. It does not save a draft to cookies or local storage. Following a link to another website, such as LinkedIn, takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.

Retention and security

I keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond, evaluate potential work, maintain relevant business records, and meet legal obligations. I use access controls and server-side handling to protect stored inquiries. No transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can ask me to access, correct, or delete information you have shared by emailing brian@dioteck.com. I may need to verify the request and retain information where required for legal or legitimate recordkeeping purposes.

Client project data

Before a project involves access to your systems or data, I establish the relevant scope, permissions, responsibilities, and handling arrangements in writing. Ownership, retention, support, and handoff terms are defined in the applicable project agreement.

Updates and contact

I may update this policy as the website or my practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision. For questions about privacy, contact me at brian@dioteck.com.
